So sorry to hear this. I, too, was diagnosed with cancer a few weeks back, and am willing to share with your wife if she wishes. if i can ask, what type? My wife is having surgery on the 27th.. Insurance will not cover.... So the nest egg shall be gone... but no amount of money is worth losing a life...

That sucks. I have always said pretty much anyone is one serious illness away from being broke. You can make money back and it's worth nothing if you aren't around to enjoy it. Best of luck.

I have stage IV ovarian cancer. No surgery as I haven't had any ovaries for 20 years, and there are no masses in the abdomen. They are all in one lung, and a couple on the liver. Turns out I have been stage IV for at least 4 years unknowingly.
I would contact the American Cancer Society, as well as any cancer organizations that you can find for financial assistance. I know Huntsman Cancer Center in Salt Lake works with people financially as well. My brother goes to the veterans hospital next to UCLA, as doctors from UCLA go there and the cost is way less.
I'll talk around and keep my ears open at my next chemo infusion on July 2.
My heart goes out to you both. I'm SO glad she has you. This would be next to impossible to deal with without my wonderful hubby.
