I made a mist system to spray the condenser while at stop lights

Mist nozzles, a water pump out of an espresso machine, a cheap harbor freight inverter (cause the pump is 120v, but only 45 watts), some tubing, and the windshield washer tank filled with distilled water.

Cool breezes all the time!

Default CAR AC curiosity

Last week I shipped my car from Hawaii...before shipping, GoodYear folks said all is well with my car although I changed the cabin ac filter. Having cabin ac filter adds to a cooler car I suppose? My car is a 2006 Kia spectra 5 with 57000 miles on it.

When I lived in the frozen north, an option on many cars was an arctic type package that usually included heated seats, a block heater, and an upgraded heater package. Here we need a desert package with super duper AC. I've never seen this.

My car has heated seats. They were wonderful when I threw my back out a few weeks ago! Instant heating pad! I also use the passenger one to keep a take out pizza or my chihuahuas warm. Also, perfect on a chilly (as in below 60) morning when you dont want to run the heat or when you really want the top down but its just a LITTLE too cold.

Just hang some frozen freezee bags in front of your vents!

Remember though that A/C is only truly capable of cooling around 15-20 degrees of outside temperature on a regular basis.

FWIW, rather than the whole misty contraption one of you rigged up...wouldn't this have been easier?
