And many do. Few, for instance, of the many retirees frequent the strip. Often they use the local casinos particularly for meals but they seldom do the strip.

I'm not sure why a lot of people in Vegas equate Southern CA to LA. It's kinda like saying the whole LV is the strip. I'm actually not a big fan of LA and not planning to move there anyway. But since you brought it up, I'm not sure what you mean by "exposure to large breasts on billboards". Do you mean actual pictures of large breasts? ads for strip clubs? lingerie stores? plastic surgeons who perform breast implants? Whatever you mean by that, I still don't think LA comes even near sin city as far the number of billboards and public advertisement for strip clubs or summer pool parties where tops are optional and you can lose your tanlines...not that there's anything wrong with that. Las Vegas economy depends on this kind of stuff. No tourist comes to Vegas to enjoy its arts/cultural offerings, visit its natural wonders, outdoor activities, museums, amusement parks, etc.

A two BR condo is a two BR condo if you don't ever leave your condo.
Never mind the big breasts on the billboards, do you ever take your kids to the beaches?

Rapp I am sorry I equated the joining date to the age of the posts. I apologize, Rapp did not read your post below re. not moving to vegas-- however, does anyone have any ideas re. teenagers moving to henderson or where is a good area in and around Vegas? We are not moving for gambling etc...I fell in love Here in NM there are not places for the kids to walk to--nor is it safe, or even to drive a short distance to, for movies-mall-gym-pools etc. Wondering if Henderson versus SUmmerlin or some other area would be better for such things? Thanks, momcat

There are areas in Henderson that are quite safe. And areas not so. Henderson is a city of 250,000 people. So this is not surprising. Summerlin is a large master planned community. Parts of Henderson and most of Summerlin will meet virtually any need. All you have to do is spend enough money. There are many other areas as well that are reasonable places to live and where kids walk about.

Ivoc,
thank you for information. If possible, would you know of other areas also that would be reasonable to live and good for kids to walk around? We are definitely on a budget. Thank you.
