From either personal experience or just hearing about it, how is Sprint's 3G coverage in Las Vegas?

Is it weak? strong? so-so?

Since I'm planning to move to either Tucson or Las Vegas, and I want to have an idea of how well my iPhone 4 will work there. If anyone has any experience, please let me know.

Thank you.

3g is very good overall. Sad that 4g drops at my home in the NWest.

Going ATT for ther reasons. Mainly so I can use my sim card in Asia and get the new HTC One X. My wifes is with ATT and get 4g at home.

Anytime the main concern is coverage just go with Verizon! If the main concern is selection, price etc., that's when you look elsewhere!
Verizon has it with the coverage...other stuff, not so much...definitely not price.

Thanks everyone.

I just bought the iPhone 4 for Virgin Mobile (Sprint network) for $30/month! It would be awful if it didn't work there, but glad to hear it does.

Will the Sprint coverage weigh in on where you choose to move? If so, I think you might want to re-prioritize.

We were in Vegas in May house hunting and tethered my Sprint phone to my laptop to search for home while driving around as we didn't have any issues with 3G. I think that spending about 10 hrs a day for 4 days driving around the whole city gave us a pretty good idea of there coverage. I am sure, like with all cell providers, there are spots that have issues but we didn't find any.

Sprint's 3G coverage has been pretty great overall for me. I have two phones on a family plan. There are a few dead spots around Losee and Lamb in N Las Vegas, but other than that I haven't had any connectivity issues. I stream online radio from my phone through an AD2P bluetooth head unit in my car every day with zero issues.

4G is spotty, but irrelevant since LTE will be replacing it soon.
