Within 5 years I will be retiring in Vegas. This Thanksgiving I will be driving to Vegas from Dallas to spend 5 days there. My question is that I will need a hotel to stay at that allows pets that is middle price without bed bugs. Also where should I start looking at nice areas of Vegas to retire. Still not sure if I want to live in a house or condo-apt.

There are a lot of houses in the northwest that are for sale (Centennial Hills area, north on US 95). The vast majority of these homes have been built in the last 15-20 years, so you aren't going to find relics with nightmarish plumbing and electrical issues. Condos are all over, some on/near the Strip, some not.

As far as your stay - finding a place that takes pets is going to be an issue. None of the extended stay places do, as far as I know. Online searches is all I can recommend.

There are hotels on the Strip that allow dogs now, for a fee.

Several casinos allow pets.

PetStay Las Vegas - Rolling out the red carpet for traveling dogs.

Extended Stay America is another option.

Extended Stay America Pet Friendly hotels - a hotel for you and your dog or cat

I'm sure there are others.
