I agree for those folks with fruit trees and gardens.

Alright ... now I have a cricket in my home that's chirping LOUDLY. I can't take it anymore it's time to find a professional.

Any suggestions for a good exterminator? Also ... will they find the way their getting into the house and fill the holes??

There is a product called "Bug Seal." You can get that and seal off the spots where you do not want them to come in. Much better than spraying them. They are good luck, but bad luck when you kill them.

I have two cats, they seem pretty good at keeping the indoor critters to a minimum.

You can borrow mine. She loves to chase cats.

As far as the crickets go, some seasons are worse than others. Some years you'll get tons of them and other years, not so many. It's getting warmer outside, so the spiders will be showing up soon to eat the crickets and water bugs. Circle of life.
