My buddy and I are moving to Las Vegas in a few weeks. We want to live somewhere that has a good nightlife scene that isn't necessarily on the strip. We both recently graduated school and want to live somewhere with young professionals where we don't have to go to a a club/casino every night. We have no budget for apartments so I'm really just looking for the best spot in vegas. Thanks

I are confused.

Downtown area is cool... specially if you have(but not limited to) a domestic partner/s

College or high school?

This will probably be perfect for you two.

Vegas nightlife scene *IS* the strip. The rest of the entire valley has a blue-collar small town feel to it.

This is true.

In metro Vegas, there does not seem to be a neighborhood where you can walk out of your apartment, go two blocks have have a strip of bars and restaurants available, unless you have a big buck condo on the strip (which has it's own negatives as a residential environment.) There is locals nightlife, but it seems fairly widely distributed, and, like pretty much everything in Vegas, not walkable.

You're best bet is to find a decent apartment in a good area (which likely means away from the strip), and drive to wherever you want to hang out.

Of course the downside of this is obvious (someone has to stay sober enough to drive.)

You will fit right in by the corner of Lamb and Owens. Plenty places to eat, even a Jack in the box there, Enjoy

Location is gud? Was it really that difficult to hit one more keystroke and type good instead of gud?

This 21st-century Internet shorthand is horrible.
