What do you think about buying rental property in Paradise Valley area? Is the proximity to the airport a problem? Is airport noise bad there?

Paradise Valley is a community in AZ.

Paradise is a town in unincorporated Clark County which includes the strip.

Nobody but a local should buy rentals in that area in general. Outside of the strip there are some workable areas but you need distinct local knowledge. There are lots of slum and low income properties as well with the normal difficulty in managing low end properties.

the paradise township area has been called 'unofficially' PARADISE VALLEY for many many many years....Paradise was ONCE labled as PARADISE VALLEY ROAD....that changed a very few years before the Interntional was built.

Paradise A or Paradise B or both?

I would have trouble with using a Paradise Valley designation for anything on the flat. This place has lots of Valleys...but the big flat is a single continuous one and should be maintained as the Las Vegas Valley.

I do also but the people that had Ranches out in Paradise Valley NV thought it had a nicer ring,....bear in mind that these ranches didnt ranch horse or cows but more like HOOKERS n Divorcees

At the Corner of Sunset and Pecos [the intersection where Casa de Shanandoah Sits] there was a 45 deg angle roan the cam into the intersection from the SE.......That was the entrance to Misty Place. Misty Place had been a Who R house for many years with the Madame bein Misty something or other then it was converted to a Divorcee Ranch back in the day of divorcees and then to an small apartment complex....I live there for a time waiting to close on my house back in 78,,,Misty was still alive and quite a character..She lived for a time up in town between Charleston n Oakie above Rancho .......

..and Wikipedia says this about Paradise....Who knew....but then again I'm from East LV...LOL

Paradise contains McCarran International Airport, the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and most of the Las Vegas Strip, including well-known hotels such as Caesars Palace, the Bellagio, and the MGM Grand. Therefore, many tourists visiting the Las Vegas area are actually spending most of their time in Paradise, rather than in the City of Las Vegas. Despite this, Paradise remains relatively unknown, since "Paradise, NV" does not appear in postal addresses. The United States Postal Service has assigned "Las Vegas, NV" as the place name for the ZIP codes containing Paradise. Nonetheless, if Paradise were to be incorporated, it would be one of the largest cities in Nevada.

Is no one else going to say this?.. It's the worst part of town. Look up sex offenders by zip code and see how you feel about the neighborhood.

It's a shame because it used to be a glamorous area, but no more.

I think Paradise was formed to keep the City of Las Vegas from annexing the strip.

Yup. Initially an initiative by Casino owners. Later a deliberate policy by the County Commission to keep Las Vegas off the strip and out of other places. One of the reasons Lone Mountain and the SW were vulnerable to annexation was that they were not incorporated into towns. (They are towns but of the unincorporated type)

I wonder if the people living on around the strip could decide to try and incorporate their own city?
