I'm glad I did actually take the time to do the Star Trek Experience. Just the people-watching / listening in line was worth the price of admission.

There was talk about bringing it back, but in downtown. I think it would be great and I hope it happens.

I wonder how much business was actually lost. The Star Trek Experience seems like a perfect "Send the kids off with a C-note while the parents gamble" attraction. Especially kids who are too old for Adventuredome.

That's the expectation, at least. I wonder if that's how it played out.

My wife and I have only been to that property three times -- once to see ZZ Top. The other two times were to have a Warp Core Breach at Quarks.

Word on the street is the LVH backers fully expected a major hotel brand to step up and take over after Hilton pulled out. Reportedly, they are genuinely surprised this has not happened as that location and the infrastructure already there has great potential if positioned right.

This just in...

Goldman Sachs, partner in deal to buy LVH hotel-casino - VEGAS INC

"In many ways this is good news for everyone at the LVH as it will soon provide more clarity to the future direction of the property," he said. "It is important to note that the foreclosure sales process takes time and unfortunately many assume that a 'foreclosure' means that the property is closing its doors. That does not appear to be the case at the LVH.''

Remember the Hilton well had some good time there.. Wife and I stayed there on a trip and had show tickets that included the Scintas before they were more famous.... And went thru Star Trek..and ate at Quarks and bought some type of beer in a six pack.. Had it until last year when it broke moving....

And a friend and I went to see Norm Crosby and the hostess put us down right next to the stage so we put our drink glasses up there.. Norm has a field day with the "idiots" that did that... we were "famous" at least for a couple of hours....

I know 3 people who all visited did the Star Trek Experience at different times over the course of a year. The one thing these 3 people had in common was they were victims of identity theft within weeks of their visits.

That is just a little too coincidental for me.
