There should be a sign at the court clerks window: "Bribes Accepted"

I mean what's the point in having a record if you can buy yourself a better one?

The name of the game is to keep the "customer" from doing anything that would undermine the job security of those working in the busy traffic courts, their worst nightmare: Driver throws up his hands, says: That's it! No more driving! And become a happy bus commuter! Laughing, giggling from the bus window everytime he see someone pulled over for a traffic violation!

Yes, it does seem like bribery, but when jobs are at stake.........................................:ham d:

AARP, suggested fighting it in court, as there's a 50-50 chance the officer doesn't show up and you pay nothing!

I headed that advice last year, with a traffic violation, and it backfired! I would have saved a nice chunk of money going to Ticketbusters!

Their motto should be, "We don't care about public safety. We just want your money."

My problem are slow drivers on freeway. I had cruse control set on 73mph.

And i was going home from work at 3 am. i have passed many cars on my way and they were going from 50-65 on empty freeway.

Police officer probably saw my car going faster then others and assumed i was speading.

And i got ticket.

I just can not understand people going 50-60mph on freeway when there is no traffic and with newer/faster cars then mine.

What is point of buying new Mustang if you go with it 55mph on freeway? (saw it last night).

People in europe drives 2x faster then americans on their freeways and yet i have not seen ANY car accident there in my 20 years of living in Italy.

This kid thought he could handle a vehicle at high speeds too.
Police ID driver in bus-stop crash that killed 4 - Las Vegas Sun News

The speed limits on Vegas freeways are between 55-65 MPH for a reason. There is a lot of construction and drunk / distracted driving here. If you haven't seen a horrific crash yet, well it's only a matter of time.

Have a nice day.

Don't know how it works in Nevada, but around here an officer has an "assigned" court time when all his/her tickets will be heard, and that is the date he/she puts on the ticket. The officer is NOT going to "not show up" on that date.

On my first two court appointments, I sat there and got very hopeful, as there were a few there for traffic violations, and their charges were dismissed, as the officers didn't show up. So I got overconfidant I'd be one of the lucky ones, worth my effort to go to that 3rd court appointment. No such luck!

My roommate asked me: Who gave you the ticket? And when he discovered it was a motorcyle cop, he told me that motorcycle cops always show up for their court appointments, as he claims they get a bonus at the end of the year for doing so. Don't know if that's true or not!

True or not, I'm not going to take that gamble anymore and just go straight to Ticketbusters!

I've had 2 friends that have used Ticketbusters (one a speeding ticket on Blue Diamond Rd doing 61 in a 55, and one was a illegal U-turn on Maryland Pkwy with a non-working license plate light). Not only did the court not reduce the ticket, they were forced go to traffic school to clear the points from their license. Complete waste of money for them. Its all a luck of the draw, who the judge is and how he's feeling that day, it's a 50%-50%, and in my friends case Ticketbusters really didn't give a @#$%, they already got your money. When you use Ticketbusters you sign a waiver that states we cannot guarantee any outcome of your court case. Personally, I have had better luck just going to court, once the officer didn't show up, once the officer did but I was able to plead the charges down myself.

The best way out of the ticket is don't do the crime at all, or atleast don't get caught.
