How can I stop this occurring? This is after they have been washed in the dishwasher.

Generally means your water softener is not working or you don't have one. Some of the dishwasher additives also stop it.

The powdered versino of Lemishine works for us if used a powdered dishwasher detergent as well.

Although I have a water softener I also use Finish detergent in the dihwaster and my dishes sparkle

I agree with Mollie, Finish is the best, I will never use Cascade again. I also put white vinegar in the rinse cup instead of paying those high prices for those little bottles of rinse stuff. It works just the same. Oh, I will say to get the better Finish product, the one with the red dot in the middle of the cube. I did notice the others dont work as well.

So true! Finish tablets with the center balls do the trick-I'll never use powder again! I'll have to try the white vinegar suggestion, thanks.

^really? I have a box full of those things and the two or three times i have tried them the outcome was not pretty. I have never tried vinegar though... I will give it a go.

Lemi Shine! No doubt about it. I use Cascade Complete for detergent and Lemi Shine for the additive (use the instrucitons on the Lemi Shine container).

I used to use Calgon water softener when I lived there especially for laundry. Stands to reason an extra softener in the DW would be a good idea.

I hated to even brush my teeth with that tap water! LOL
