Im a former LEO looking to apply in Las Vegas casinos. Does the casinos look down upon poor credit ratings? how about a charge for open container citations?

Thanks, TC

You must have not been very popular...cops give other cops passes for tittly stuff like this.

good luck, not everyone who works in a casino has perfect credit.

yeah, actually sad deal. 10 years as a cop and get a open container citation from outside agency by a bar. Took PBT and blew zeros. So no public intox...instead open container. plus I was cooperative. I respect other agencies. But yeah, bad credit thing never goes away, regardless of all bills being paid on time. Then the open container citation.

But I wanted get into surveillance. I have year in surveillance at a casino back home..... But worried about the above issues.

The pay is awful, but have you ever thought about working for CACI or Keypoint as a Gov (contract) background investigator?

I did/do this (I go to school full time now but do surge work when asked). You conduct background investigations for people being considered for federal security clearances. There is lots of flexibility and you get a TS out of it which can be parlayed into work at Nellis.

They love former cops and it can be a good part-time gig.
