Greetings. I could be moving to Pahrump later this year and it is vital I have high speed internet. A question for the folks living in Pahrump, how is the internet service there? I've read some older reviews in other forums and sites and the reviews generally aren't too favorable. Has internet service improved recently? Are there plans for a bigger carrier, like a Cox for example, down the road? Thank you.

No one has answered from Pahrump, because Pahrump doesn't have internet

They just got electricity on Wednesday.

Did you do a search? Is Google blocked in Oklahoma? It took less than 30 seconds to do this, much quicker than waiting for an answer to your question.

Let me google that for you

the only thing worth mention is Pahrump is the race track... thought the winery actually looks very nice indeed.

Find an address for a house up for sale that interests you, go to the AT&T website and check what service they offer. Same for cable provider Cox, Charter? Due to my job I need multiple high speed (must have backup) and I found the coverage in Reno was almost random.. nearly everywhere had 50+mbit cable but I'd find AT&T had 24mbit and then next door they'd only sell 768kbit!

Once you get used to the websites it's fairly easy to find out what's available at a specific address.

Thanks all for your responses. Sounds like Pahrump has got some catching up to do in the high speed internet dept. And thanks Garbage Can for sacrificing 2 minutes of your valuable time to respond to my post, as difficult it must have been for you to do so judging by your pissy attitude. I had already checked the Cox site, as well as other big-named carriers like Charter, Comcast etc. and know they're not in Pahrump. That's why I was inquiring if there were perhaps plans, or at least discussions of one of these major carriers expanding to Pahrump in the near future.

I have AT&T high speed internet in Pahrump and I think it works just the same, even better (definitely better at playing downloaded videos) than the one here in Las Vegas. I have had no complaints or the internet not working since I've been with them and I will have had the service for two years in July.

I read where a company called Wave Direct recently started broadband service in Pahrump. If anybody in Pahrump is using them, are you satisfied with their service thus far?
