Looking for house in Vegas. Where is the best section/area in Vegas? Is the city pet friendly?

We will need more information about your specifics before giving any good answers. Schools, do they matter? Where will you be working?

Yes, Vegas is pet friendly. At least in my experience.

The city has a number of dog parks in various locations. Depending upon where you buy (or rent), most HOAs have restrictions on the number of pets you can keep, but the numbers are generally reasonable.

Not pet friendly when it comes to shopping or taking your dogs to a restaurant (unless you're shopping in Pet Smart). But very pet friendly as far as dog parks all over town, and lots of stores, even bakeries, dedicated to dogs.

I took my yellow lab to Star Nursery on occasion. She enjoyed the outings and the little kids there enjoyed meeting her. My neighborhood here in the ghetto has installed lots of baggie outlets for disposal of dog poo and I see people walking their dogs all the time. Don't get me started on the cats. The neighborhood cats have joined together in a little criminal gang. They tag my car with their footprints regularly.

I used to shop at Bone Apetite for my dog's food. They have a little doggie bakery in there.

One other thing about pets here in LV if you have an older pet and their joints hurt or are stiff the desert air does wonders. My dog who is 13 is no running around like he as hen he was 7 years old. He chases his tennis ball jumps and does not struggle to get up from the floor. Back east he suffered year around. The desert and him are agreeing as far as weather goes.
