Depends upon what Albertsons you go into. The one in Summerlin, on Charleston across from Red Rock Station is BEAUTIFUL AND WELL KEPT!

But I ususally go to Smiths...prices are a bit lower there than Albertsons, which by the way, is outrageously expensive!

I actually go to Von's, because that is the closest one to me.

Before that opened however, we used to shop at the Albertson's up on Flamingo (or was it Tropicana *scratches head*)

I was told however, that Smith's now carries Boars Head cold cuts, so I think I might be switching markets. Except that the closet one to me isn't really all that close

Smith's has better meats. I'll go there if I'm picking up some steaks but for the everyday stuff I just hit Albertson's for the convenience factor.

I like Smiths meats also. lately I have been going to Lucky's for my produce, because it is ALOT cheaper, they have a farmers Market sale on Wednesdays, and you can get some really good deals on fruits and veggies, you just have to watch some of the stuff. They made the Albertson's at Craig and MLK into a Lucky's. Also Walmart just changed where they are getting their meat from. Alot better then what they use to have, and I have seen basically everything but the chicken better priced then Smiths.

Good to know MomMom, thanks for the info. Mmmm.. I'm not a big fan of the sugar-y/smokey types of meats (I usually just buy the oven roasted types.. but the sugar/maple is definitely YUMMY!

GMTA, I guess.

Nobody mentioned Fresh and Easy? That's my #1 store. Best prices, great tasting produce and cheaper than the supermarkets. Ever taste a banana from a supermarket here, they are all dry. Fresh & Easy's are moist and tasty. 18cents each. Their oranges are the sweetest, they come from the orange groves in California, oranges I grew up with. I've been buying great big bags for $3.
Their potatos are creamy tasting. $2 a bag. I could go on forever, but I have things to do.

As for regular supermarkets, I like Smiths, Vons and Albertsons. I also occasionally stop in at Walmart neighborhood stores for the fun of it. That seems to be the only place I can find the asparagus stir fry frozen veggies.

Is that place similar to Whole Foods and Wild Oats? My mom works at Whole Foods and will occasionally bring home (I let my mom stay with me) some meat or produce. Some of the best meat I've ever had, but very pricey as most organic food is I suppose.
