Our property manager of our Las Vegas house just told us that our two trees in the front yard are dead and were killed by beetles?

Is there a problem with this in residential neighborhoods? Or were they just not watered?

She also gave the tenant permission to cut it down We said no, denied and requested a walk through of our house on Thursday.

One of our trees (actually more of a bush) died and another one was damaged before we realized what was happening. We treated the second tree and it survived, but you could see the damage just below the bark. The bark just fell away from the tree. The top of the trees started dying, then died a little further down, then further down again until eventually the whole thing dies.

What kind of trees are they? There are definitely popular trees prone to disease that people plant here regardless.

There are a lot of trees planted here that shouldn't be.

We had an issues with beetles in a pine tree. Got it taken care of.

Not sure what kind of trees they were planted by the homebuilder 15 years ago and they were fine till now.

Drove out today and they are definitely dead. All the other trees in the neighborhood or just fine with the exception of the neighbors. The property manager told me that the neighbor treated his tree and I'm wondering if he gave the same chemical to my tenant to treat our trees. If so that explains why they're dead

Do you know the type of trees they are?
If so you could call a knowlegable uninvolved third party such as maybe someone at the Springs Preserve or the garden center at the community college.
