Advertisements

Can anyone suggest the best place to get the Gov't revenue...........errrrrr I mean a smog test completed? I see advertisements everywhere. I'm in Henderson. Thank you

We had ours done at a Terribles. I don't think it makes much difference. They are all priced within ten bucks of one another.

Yeah they are all about the same especially if your car is 1996 or newer. I see coupons in the news paper all the time for discounts for various locations.

Make sure you go to a smog tester that will retest you for free just in case your car fails. The one that I go to is in the NW (smoke ranch and jones) in the same center as the Sinclair Gas Station towards the tireshop. I know your in Henderson but if you think it might have a problem then it might be worth the drive.

Question...Can you take your vehicle to ANY smog place to have it done??? In Socal we have Test Only facilities and regular ones..The DMV tells you which you have to go to....

I'm sure someone with more knowlege will chime in but I couldn't find anything stating you are required to go to a specific smog testing facility.

I recently moved here from California. I just took my car to the most reasonable smog location. The DMV has a very good website with instructions for new residents. Here is a link:

I generally go to Terrible Herbst for convenience, but check those coupons and find the cheapest one. It only takes few minutes and they all do the same thing.
