May I suggest that you listen to a talk show host named Tom Leykis? The Tom Leykis Show | Live Weekdays at 6PM Eastern, 3PM Pacific!

On Thursdays, he has a segment on women called Leykis 101. Is geared toward men. Its about dating, marriage and women (how to meet them, where to meet them, callers call in with examples).

Its helpful.

What about where you work? No one to hang out with?

A back yard BBQ is good, but you have to get invited to one first!

Maybe join a bowling league? There are those who are looking for an extra person or even subs.

Most of my friends and coworkers are either married or in serious relationships, which I guess can lend to bringing in a new couple, but for the most part have just proven to make me unable to have people to go out and do the types of things singles do.

Wile Leykis is funny as hell taking his advice with women isn't going to get you to far. That's like taking dating advice from Howard Stern. He does have some gems every now and then but it's entertainment, not real advice.

That said, I do miss flash Fridays.

Why have older dudes deluded themselves with this nonsense??

Once most STRAIGHT MEN hit their early 30s, it all starts to go downhill from there. If he's not keeping himself together in the gym or maintaining his appearance, clothes, etc., there's a 90% chance that once he hits 40, he'll turn into a bloated, overweight, balding, smelly, no style having "hag".

Very, very, very, VERY few men age well or look good after a certain age. VERY FEW.

Just thought I'd put that out there for the self-deluders.
I don't know about very, very, very, VERY. I just met someone the other day who I would have never guessed was 60!!! I was thinking maybe early 50s or late 40s! He was not gym built, just looked like he aged very well. In general, I think older men can do a bit better, but that works both ways and is only a generalization. Then again, older is a whole different bird. 20s is tougher. I would never want to go back to my 20s!

Also, like the OP said, he sees many not-so-great-looking guys with hot women. Could be a money thing, but I think there seems to be more women who aren't as worried about looks over personality. That can be a generalization also and I am not talking the women who are just out for a good time weekend thing. Geesh, even on TV there are many hot women with chubby, balding, teddy bear type guys. I know, I know, it's TV, but still....

Stoneys has moved to Town Square right by the Blue Martini. I would think prices have gone up being in that center.
But lots of gold diggers, I mean cougars at Happy Hour at the Blue Martini!
