Never been, but at the NW corner of Charleston and Valley View there is a place called Sonyos (not Sonyas) and its famous for its chicken.
Might want to check it out!

I believe Sonios roasts them on spits. They are now opening in Centennial There by Sam's club. I presume they are keeping the one on Charleston as well...though I do not know for sure.

Try Kathy's on Mountain Vista. It is just north of Sunset. Very good southern fried food. If you are ever in the LA area, Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles cannot be beat. They have multiple locations from Long Beach to Hollywood.

haha...pretty certain that listing for pasadena is actually altadena (although it doesn't surprise me that they listed as such).

thx, man. didn't know there were so many of them.

Did I say that you had to go to the south to get good chicken? No- I said that KFC and the like are not good chicken.

And Metro pizza still sucks- maybe it's the best that Vegas has, but again, that's a pretty sad statement on Vegas' food scene.

BTW- I recall one of the threads where you were getting all excited that Cici's Pizza was coming to Vegas. I had never heard of Cici's before, so when I saw one here in Atlanta a while back, I figured "the Kid was excited about it, so why not give it a try?". My god, that was awful crap. I guess for a $4.99 pizza buffet you can't expect much, but I'd rather throw some ketchup on a cardboard pizza box than eat that stuff again. I hope you enjoy it.
i was excited because of the price, i never knew what the taste of the pizza was, i've been there once lately, it is good enough for 4.99, where else are you gonna find all you can eat for 4.99, of course you can get better pizza from somewhere else, but that somewhere else can also be 17 dollars a pie...

I think some Pizza Huts have a $5 buffet lunch special. Not bad for $5 bucks.

Here is an interesting article on Shakey's Pizza. Didn't know what happened to them either after the one on Boulder Highway closed.
