One can subscribe to home delivery of the NY Times, LA Times and WSJ as well as the RJ.

I have subscribed to all at various times. The WSJ is the most expensive. I actually prefer the LA Times to anything else though I am an internet subscriber to the NY Times. I also read the Sac Bee in the middle of the night at least half the time. We probably buy the LA Times or NY Times 3 days a week. Both on Sundays. It would actually be cheaper for us to subscribe to home delivery I suspect.

The RJ has some redeeming features. Vince S has got to be the most limit libertarian allowed loose with a pen in the US. Writes pretty well too. Lies and misleads with a vengeance. Nice to see completely out of control partisanship on behalf of a fictional party. Cook is right wing but sometimes intelligent. MaryAnn or whatever sometimes goes for the jugular on local stuff. Smith does too. And some reaqlly snarky right wing editorials. Here they are praising the ripoff witch at the Quest School as an example of good chartering...

WSJ is outrageous, especially at the newsstand. They have a very good online edition for considerably less than either newsstand or print subscription prices.

Actually they all are. We used to get the LA Times here out of boxes for a quarter. Them days is long gone.

I am bashing on all the consolidators to stop quoting the WSJ unless they allow free access to the article listed. Not going to subscribe to get past the on paragraph intro.

You have to like Vin S. a little for his sheer craziness. Jane Ann is hit and miss. Sometimes she goes for the meaty stories, but over the last couple of years her investigative journalist streak seems to have died out in favor of "old lady" stories. I like John S. for the most part, but again, he's hit and miss.

None of them are Ned Day, that's for sure.

I try not to engage in much Schadenfreude, but I sure enjoyed it when Sherm got his ass handed to him after the Righthaven debacle.
