Coming to LV for a week in November. How much should a cab from the airport to Caesars cost? How does someone prevent getting long-hauled? Get the route from my GPS and request to follow that?

sure and they make dozens of stops along the way and not a good idea if there more than one person transported since it can end up costing more.

To go to Caesar's it should be around $20-21 give and take $2 due to conditions such as traffic. Tell the driver NO TUNNEL PLEASE which would give him an idea not to long haul. They do charge an additional $1.80 airport fee which is included in that price.

after driving HERE fo 8 years, my wife n I move to Atlantic City with the Golden Nugget.

2 months later I cam back here on business...

jumped in a cab at the cab zone and said "Golden Nugget Downtown"

I would PROBABLY have been ok, if, at Tropicana he had gone left and down the freeway instead of straight down paradise.....[resulting in a %7.95 trip dpw tpwn] The Fwy route was....I belive $10.95]

But NOOOOO this AXLE turned RIGHT on F'n Tropicana.....alllllll the way to Boulderhighway.....LEFT on Boulder Highway [you notice at this point I am just sittin back with my mouth shut.] ALLLLL the way up BHWY to 5 points East.....THEN HAD the Cajones to turn LEFT onto Charleston....ALLLLLLL the way up tp LVBS RIGHT on LVBS to FREMONT ST [before the FSE] LEFT on FREMONT to Casino Center Blvd.....into the Nugget Entrance.

M y $7.95 cab ride was now $42.55.

I got out....gave my bags to the bellman as I was FUMBLING thru my wallet....pulled out $8.00 in singles.

Handed it to the FUTURE X Cab Driver.....smiled my BEST smile and said [in a truly syrupy voice] KEEP the change Cabbie]

He sputter n spit and said the fare's $42.55 plus tip....

I replyed "The fare's $7.95 plus tip straight down Paradise rd to LVBS then onto casino center and right to the nugget door".

I suggest that you call the TA and ask for X*X*X*X* he should be just coming off lunch.....tell him X*my name*X has a disputed fare..

in my 8 years I never ONCE long routed anyone and wasn't about to put up with it....

Thank you WWD! That was exactly what I wanted to hear!

Headed out the Electric Daisy Carnival yesterday and had a great experience.
Nothing like a full taxi full of young ladies flashing their boobs out the windows near the Speedway!

Wow!

I too enjoyed the EDC crowd....the kids were all cool with me and tipped decently.

FWIW most people tip me five minus the change...some not at all. I wonder if they realize I'm taxed on 10% wether I get tipped or not?

I actually am loving the job though, people compliment me on being nice and speaking English!

I usually get them laughing either with me or at me...its fun for all.

I feel that I'm part of their vacation so I entertain them...except the ones who send the shut up signal....then I'm quiet.

I also had a great time with the EDC crowd ! Tipped me me very well and overall were fun to be with.

The last trip I took out was a young couple that dropped there first hits of acid

Haha.....sure they had one heck of a night !

I totally agree !

I read your post in the other thread, your going to do well ! I've only been back driving since January so this was the first one for me.

I used to drive for YCS until an accident did me in, very minor and ended up not being my fault. Sure wish I could have gone back there after losing my job in September because of the bad economy.

I was an Eleet dispatcher radio restricted, back then I made very good money learning the zones and building up a personal base.

If that's where your working stay there, IMHO they are the best to work for.
