For those that don't mind a drive - Mom's Diner in Pahrump is my fav, nothing on the menu over $17.

I'd kill to have a Black Bear Diner out here....

Mimi's. love the home style potatoes. Portions have been scaled back for awhile, but the music and atmosphere are good.

Yes portions are smaller now but food is still decent and I love the brown carrot bread(?) gratis. Mimi's quiche, if you love pies are good too.

I stopped going to Leone, bad service one time ruined it for me. Too many restaurants in town especially at Tivoli where I can spend my money.

When we are at our vacation home in Laughlin NV, Black Bear diner rocks. I've love that place and thank you to other posters about saying Black bear diner was in Vegas. I had no idea and can't wait to dine there, too.

If you like that joint, you'd really love most of the places listed above. Egg Works (Egg & I) is the bottom of the list of good breakfasts here in Las Vegas. This has always been a breakfast town because with three shifts a day, everyone is on a different schedule. And the tourists are likely to stay out all night and either eat breakfast before going to bed, or they sleep late and want breakfast in the afternoon. In the old days we had the 49 cent breakfast at the Showboat, and the 59 cent one at the Silver Slipper. There were others too. But now we have much more than eggs and bacon to choose from.

You have a Black Bear Diner in Laughlin. I think there's only the one in Las Vegas. I think it is highly underrated, but then again, it is always crowded. A town this size should probably have four of them.

Black Bear Diner. I eat breakfast there at least twice a month, even if alone. I don't know what they sprinkle in their pancakes but they are the best. Thick pepper bacon, fresh squeezed orange juice, TRY to eat the Volcano without a go-box. Seriously the only pet peeve I have about the place is the silverware... It's super thin, sharp on the edges and shouts cheap. Come on guys!

^^Black Bear diner used to be a different restaurant, I can't remember if it was a Dutch or German restaurant but I've dine there in the past many years ago.

The service when we've been there has been excellent to the extreme. The coffee is some of the best there is. The food is very good, but it is what it is. We also like the fact that our dogs are welcome on the patio.

I believe it was Dutch and now I'll be awake all night trying to remember the name. I hated to see that one go.

A friend took me there (Black Bear) for an early dinner the other night. I found the service to be excellent and very friendly. The food was pretty good. I haven't been there for breakfast, though.

As mentioned above, The Cracked Egg is a favorite, and I like Babystacks Cafe as well. Babystacks has unusual items such as red velvet pancakes and a lemon ricotta. The Grand Lux is another good one seconded from above. If you are in to corned beef hash, try theirs.
