An investigation has been launched into allegations of --widespread-- cheating among the latest group of recruits for the City of Las Vegas Fire Department.

Amazing.
If the cheating involves getting a copy of a test, safe assumption it came from somebody in the department.
Some heads are gonna roll!

From what I've seen in some of the "locals" bars, the firefighters need to be at 100% in this town. My wife is a Station Nightclub survivor and we didn't feel safe in many of the little bars we checked out while we were here.. No sprinklers in bars? Really??

Default mumm's the word

I don't understand how almost an entire week has gone by and the fire dept has yet to speak on this issue.
Just like the Metro officer that lived in Boulder that killed his wife and kid last month.

Sad. Was talking to a professor from UNLV yesterday, and she was saying that cheating is so common they can hardly even do anything about it now. Their trying to figure out what to do. I think somewhere along the way, we got the idea that it is ok to do anything to get ahead. Perhaps it had always been like that.

I take pride in knowing I always did my own work, I never cheated.

No surprise here. CCSD basically encourages cheating to pass proficiency tests. Why does it surprise anyone that this mentality continues after leaving school?
