I retired to Las Vegas from the Communist Socialist State of the Republic of California. Where they spend 44K a year on pablum feeding a convicted felon or dope fiend and 1/4 of that per student or Senior Citizen. Taxes and the cost of living are out of control and illegal Mexicans (I love legal immigrants who fill out papers and wait in line for their turn) are sucking the life out of taxpayers.

In 1980 there were 6 taxpayers to every person on public assistance, in 2000 it was 4 to 1, by 2010 it will be 3 to 1. You figure out what is going to happen there. I wonder why they have a budget shortfall?

Glad to be in Vegas and will never go back ever!

VEGAS BABY!

Post Well...

Coming from Florida, (military family) but grew up in SoCA, Imperial Beach (right next to the border, boy I miss those street tacos).......but never got to go back for any length of time!
We are tired of humidity and the threat of a hurricane always looming...worse here in Tampa than Jacksonville, but can't wait for that DRY HEAT!!!
Glad to be a future resident!

You dont. You live in Vegas, not Gudalajara! Would you demand Mexicans speak English if you moved to Zacatecas? Didnt think so. Do the same.

Amen to that! I speak Spanish more than English in my line of work and it is annoying.
