[mod cut-- orphaned response to deleted post]
My friends go to the church at Flamingo and Eastern. That's where Frank Sinatra's funeral service in Las Vegas was held. Seems to be the epicenter for all things rosary-related in Las Vegas.

I'm not Catholic, but when members of my wife's devout family come to visit, we take them to St. Joseph on Sahara @ Tenaya. They've always been very complimentary of the service and the parishioners.

Just keep in mind any church you go to in Las Vegas when they pass around the collection basket the churches like it if you drop in chips from the casinos Why the casinos double the face value of the chips for the church Why you don't see any Church Bingo here in Vegas only Casino Bingo Casinos don't like outside competition so buy them off So sin all you want Saturday night just save some chips for Sunday when you repent

on the whole, churches are welcoming. of course it also depends on whether you consider the size (and to a lesser extent location) of the church to affect your perception of a homey and welcome feeling. the churches i mainly go to are st joseph, husband of mary and christ the king. st joseph is the bigger of the two which can lessen the homey feeling, but has its own charm. christ the king is smaller and more intimate. they do their mass a little differently so if you want a more intimate, you might want to try christ the king.

i suppose a good question ... is which area of the city will you be attending church?

That a small apt complex has 150 units.

Probably will be living slightly north or northwest.
Thanks.

We are parishioners at St. Joseph Husband of Mary and have been for the last 5 years. They have a great youth group, which was important to us because of having children. Father Mark is great and the "visiting" priests are usually good as well. I have never attended mass at Christ the King but I have heard great things about them.
