But seriously, what was the story behind this incident? Anyone know? Here is the extended version. I originally saw this video a year or two before moving to Vegas. Never knew the story behind it.

It's unfortunate that he didn't get shot.

Fake. By the guys who did the bum fight videos.

Of course one might also observe that it is a great idea that has been widely adopted...

The rental car companies have agreed to no more PT Cruisers...

Why do Las Vegans hate PT Cruisers?
Because they are ugly and look like something that should be driven by the Ant Hill Mob.

...and they are a piece of cr*p that won't get out of their own way. I rented one once and felt like it was as unsafe as a 1962 Corvair.

Good ole Bum fights. That's where I first saw the video. I think majority of Bum Fights was filmed in Sin City.

This wasn't fake

And it wasn't a "bum fight", it was an extremely viscous attack on a passerby that could have had fatal ramifications. And, it looks like it happened near that nasty little area known as "Naked City" (surprise, surprise).

I still think that area is dangerous and will be for some time until there is some radical gentrification there.
