I sell on ebay and as of 2 years ago ebay started limiting accounts. I need to get around this by opening a 2nd account in my gf's name but don't want them connected so they don't cancel her account for "circumventing" ebay's selling limits.

I need a second IP address coming out of the same house not to stream movies on or anything...also I guess I have to buy another computer as well.

What's the cheapest option available in Las Vegas?

Thanks

Are you sure that's not an easy workaround with eBay directly? I've been selling full-time for 8 years (12K+ transactions) and have never had any type of limit, but I have others who have been able to speak with eBay and have them raised or eliminated. Cheaper than purchasing new internet, I would think.

Totally free, and it will do what you want.

Download Ultrasurf 12.10

I was doing too much business on a 99.9% feedback powerseller account where the morons didn't think I was shipping the item out because my percentage of tracking uploaded was very low with my low cost free shipping times...but really they want me to charge $2 shipping to all customers since they take 15% of shipping too. They are a nasty, sadistic greedy company who also don't want any one seller to get too big in any market as it will push out competitors in that same area who can't compete due to economies of scale. Did I mention they are a nasty, evil company?

I'm thinking ultrasurf might raise a red flag since my ip address is totally hidden? Anyone been through this BS with ebay?

Ahh.. understood. Yeah, they can suck. We deal in antiques, collectibles, and entertainment memorabilia so don't run into that type of problem. I would think LVD's idea would work.. I use peerblock to block who can see IP addy's too. I would just have to think with the technology out there you can ghost IPs with software instead of running another line.

I'm assuming you're selling something in the electronic (read "high fraud so screw the good sellers") category?

I know it may not accomplish anything, but have you tried calling them? I know you'll probably end up with a PITA in India, but might be worth a shot if it's a substantial part of your income.

Hi Raiderman, actually that's the thing, all 1400 items I had listed are 100% legit not in any high risk category and have all the proper invoices to support that, not one infraction or anything...I had this account in my shipper's name for 18 months who then quit working to get herself a full-time job with better pay and I put everything back in my name and they linked both accounts and they killed this one after 14 days...it was doing $40,000 a month. Quite a catastrophe when they shot it dead. It was bringing ebay $80,000 a year in revenue...and a guy in appeals making $30,000 decided to can it. Again, all legitimate product, safe, etc.

We just listed a truck [mod cut-- sorry, advertising], and was shocked and pissed when I saw how much it cost...over $200. I couldn't believe it. It's the last time I will buy or sell on Ebay.

Sorry for the rant (Well, maybe not that sorry )
