I guess this is how language evolves; next time, I'll tell someone to go phillips themselves.

Bingo. Some people need it spelled out though

This should have costed $4.79 and I would have given you a $5 to take me 317 feet."
I'm lazy, I walk nowhere. I wasnt in a rush, I say something as I get out, not paying obviously.

You are sounding incredibly foolish. The only problem with the monorail is that it doesn't have useful end points. Otherwise, it is a pleasant way of getting from point-A to point-B.
Oh I guess just imagined all those conventioneers complaining about the monorail.

As for a monorail running down the center of the strip...the only thing it would really be running down is all the drunk tourists jaywalking.

As for the mystery riders...the TA DOES do that! But then if any of you actually knew what you're talking about, you'd know that already. The problem with that is they only fine the driver NOT the company as well. If the company got a hefty fine as well then they would put a stop to it real quick.

Most of our side streets are three lanes... Almost always at least two. The 15-95 has like 5-6-7 lanes. The 215 is fantastic for the suburban folk. There is like three potholes in Clark County and we experience no freezing/thawing or salting of our roads. Seriously, why is everyone in tantrum mode once again? Has anyone here ever driven in the Midwest? The Northeast?
We have 41 million visitors a year... Many renting cars and a good chunk of them are foreigners driving on the right side of the road for the first time. On top of that, the amount of cabs, shuttles and limos is staggering... Yet this city is easier to navigate than any other city I have lived or worked in.
When my wife and I moved here from Milwaukee, we saw a story on the news where the reporter was all, "Next up at six, the condition of Las Vegas roads worsening" ... I almost peed myself.

So to bring this back to the original title of this thread, I would say I wish I knew unappreciative people are here. We have it very, very good in Vegas and yet there is always something to whine about.

The traffic here is very manageable.

Just have to avoid the 95/215/15 around 8-10 am and 4-6 pm. Use the back roads (I use Boulder Highway often to get away from that mess) during those times.

The drivers here are definitely terrible because many drive drunk and the population here is not very well educated.

I don't think a monorail would be running over anyone if it was elevated?

And even during those peak times, it's not really that bad at all. I had to drop my wife off last night at Echo & Rig for a girls' dinner at 6:00. Left home in Henderson at 5:15 and was there at 5:50. Normally it takes about 35 minutes to get to Tivoli Village from my place. PLUS there was an accident on the 215 right past the 15. An extra 10 minutes of traffic isn't much to complain about.

This is the absolute truth. My research was a bit behind this curve, and it is the most disappointing part of our decision.
