Hi everyone.
Looks like I will finally be in town soon
To look @ properties.

I am looking for motel or budget places
To stay. Mostly , I will be looking in 89145
89130 other NW & terracini @ alliante.

After searching for motels, I can see that some
Are likely to be unsafe.
I don't want to be @ airport or strip.

Don't have to have kitchenette although
Would love some am coffee.

Anyone know about la Quinta?
Budget inn? Think there is one in NW.

I see some cheap ones - like America's best
Value & super 8. Would it be ok for 1-2
Nights?

Thanks

La Quinta in the northwest is nice. I've had business associates stay there from time to time. Check the rates on the Aliante resort, Sun Coast, and Santa Fe. They are all in the northwest and full service properties. You'll pay more on the weekends, of course, but you'll have restaurants, movie theaters, and such to unwind in at the end of your day.

I think that staying away from the casinos is a good idea. It will get people out of the vacation mindset. I think the best possible way to do this is to rent a vacation house for a week -- through a website like homeaway. Then localinsight can enjoy the full Las Vegas experience -- grocery shopping, running errands, and all the rest of the little things. There are places in North Las Vegas that rent for $200 per day or $1,000 for a week. Yes, that's a little pricey in the land of $40 hotel rooms. But think of the money you'll save on food. And you'll get to experience Las Vegas more like a local.

Look for furnished monthly rentals with a realtor. I was once looking at purchasing a 1 bdrm furnished condo that you could list through the Palms.

The Santa Fe Station is charging 29.00 a night now. Buffet for breakfast is 4.99, lunch 7.99 and dinner 9.99 with players card which is of course free.
