how is this possible since disneyland takes a fingerprint when you get the pass?

Everyone with small children should consider before taking their kids to Wet and Wild that when the old wet and wild was open, there were more pedophiles found in and around there than anywhere-- I had a police officer who worked in the sex crimes unit tell me that they used to find dozens of men daily masterbating in the old El Rancho garage watching the kids at Wet and Wild-- this is especially more dangerous now with today's technology of cell phone cameras etc-- I would not want anyone photographing my children in their bathing suits or while changing. People take pictures of kids changing from their bathing suits and sell them all over the Internet-- no thank you-- I will happily skip the crowds and perverts at a water park

I feel sorry for kids now days. Some of the most fun I had in my youth was at Wet n Wild on the strip.

I'm not sure what is worse, risking kids safety or forcing them to live in a bubble their entire life.

Well I went to Disney Land and paid less then I would have paid if I bought a ticket directly. I found the borrowed hopper tickets on Craigslist. All they told me was to not stop and do the survey when you go through the gate. No problems what so ever. You can also do it on Ebay but I wanted to pick them up.

Drove by there yesterday and it was madness. The parking lot was overflowing so people were parking on the side of the road and in empty lots across the street. I cannot imagine driving through there when the masses leave, its going to be insane.

Keeping my kids away from pedophiles is not forcing them to "live in a bubble"-- I just don't want anyone photographing my children in a state of near or undress

A friend of mine did this and turned out the tickets were bought with a stolen credit card. They got in the first day, but were stopped at the gate the 2nd day (they were 3 day tickets). The tickets had been deactivated by Disney. Of course the cops were called and they explained the whole situation, but the person they bought the tickets from was nowhere to be found.

On a side note, the absolute cheapest way I've found to do Disney is buy a 10 day, park hopper, non expiring pass to Disney World online. It's about $650, which is $65 a day. They will take them at Disneyland as well (they serve as park hoppers there as well) and they never expire. Disneyland tickets on the other hand, cannot be used at Disney World.

So many people are complaining on the Wet n Wild Facebook page about everything from the cost, crowds, size, parking, season passes, water temperature. My favorite is, "Wet n Wild was SO much better when I was a kid!" It's like dude, everything was better when you were a kid, but guess what, you're not a kid anymore. It's time to give the new generation of children some memories of Wet n Wild because I guarantee they LOVE it! "I wanted to wait until payday to get my season passes and now I can't!" Wow, season passes have been on sale online for MONTHS, my sister got theirs in January. Another woman said, "now my kids won't be able to go because of Wet n Wild's greed!" Yes, because it's Wet n Wilds fault that you were broke when tickets went on sale. You know what's really sad? Trying to explain to your children why you'll never take them to Wet n Wild, as if they'll give a damn about your rationale behind being a bitter, selfish, whiny cheapskate.

A gold season pass was going for about $90. So for a family of 4 that would be $360. Regular entry for a family of 4 would be $160 if one wasn't able to purchase a season pass in time. That being said, for $320 you could take a family of 4 to Wet n Wild twice which would equal the cost of the season passes. Now, twice is not very much at all, but it will be about typical for a family over the summer once things settle down. What I don't understand is why people are deciding to just never go again since they stopped selling season passes... Your kids are gong to hate you, lol.

By the way, this message is not directed towards anyone in particular, just trying to wrap my head around these people's rationale for complaining. The majority seem to be the all too typical, "McDonald's made me fat," crowd so they'll keep complaining no matter what you say.

Regarding the pedophiles, it's definitely a valid concern. They're everywhere and the only way to keep your children safe is to keep your eye on them. I have a 6 year old and I worry about that all the time, but there's nothing I can really do except stay vigilant at all times.

In case anyone is interested, I had a wonderful time at Wet n Wild with my wife and son and the kid absolutely loved it. We weren't allowed to bring food, so we left the park and got our pre-made sandwiches from the car that we kept in one of those cheap ice chests. We're only allowed to bring water to the park. The kid's park is great, the all around vibe of the place is refreshing. I'm so glad it's not on the strip! Vegas wanted a "family" place and got one. All the belligerent drunks can stay at the casino pools and away from my family.
