Agree with all above. 115 is a little tough.

I hope it stays that way, although most Michiganders are probably ready for some heat!

That would be welcomed, Kimba! This weather is getting to be a real drag, but 115 would be awfully tough as well. I've read a few threads of those new to Las Vegas complaining of the heat....You moved into the desert.....expecting something different?!

I'm not new to Vegas,(30 plus years here) and you'll STILL see me complaining about the heat when it gets over 105.

It's worse down in Laughlin / Bullhead City. The hottest day I recall there was 128. It's generally ten degrees hotter down there than in Vegas. At least they have the river, though.

As far as new people and the heat... There was a new girl at my last job that I encountered in the lunchroom. She had just moved to Vegas. It was about 95 degrees that spring day and she was complaining. I laughed at her and she looked at me with terrified eyes and said " You mean it gets hotter than THIS?"

She didn't make it through her first summer here, moved back home.

Image my friend posted on Facebook. Note the temp on east Flamingo. ( Edited to add the fact that it's not even officially summer yet. It's still spring until the 21st)

I thought bricks provide better insulation, I know brick always feels cooler than stucco on wood frame. There is no earthquake in Vegas, so why don't builders here use bricks?
