I don't understand either. Police won't investigate, and I see now it wouldn't do any good if they did.

I filed a complaint with the hospital, and she just lied.

I have faxed 80 vets with a 'lost dog' thing, but I am going to re-do it letting them know she would come in as a client dog, not a lost dog, and to please scan chips of dogs resembling her.

Need to find out how to get more vet fax numbers. Like, ALL of them in Las Vegas, N. Las Vegas, Henderson.....

Actually, it's tormenting not knowing if she is dead or alive, where she is, whether she is treated well, if she have discovered her allergies (didn't put that in the mc, dammit), etc.

I did text the woman who had her about all of that. I can only hope she is in touch with whoever has her now and passed that along.

for all I know she gave her away on CL.

You have a cell number for the lady who initially took the dog?

I bet a good Private Investigator could have you a name and address in under an hour.

you can get the name and possibly the address of the cell phone. Might cost $3 or so but it's worth it to find your lost family member.

I have all of that. Does me no good. She re-homed the dog but won't admit it. Even to her supervisors. I sent a formal complaint to her employers, where the incident occurred. On hospital property. They either believe her or are backing her no matter what.

My focus is getting her photos shared to find who has her - hoping once they know she was not abandoned dog, but loved and desperately sought dog. :-)

Any idea why she took your dog then re-homed her?

Take the lady to small claims court. Value the dog at $1000 or so and accuse her of taking it. Sue her employer as well if it occurred on their property.

They have to show up or pay you. And then they have to explain what happened to the dog or pay you.

Worth a try.
