I am a 45 year-old man and i oved here three years ago, beacuse i want to retire here and i do not want to move to a new place in retirement as so many people do...

Are there others out there that love Las Vegas as much as I do?

Summer is my favorite season, and at the same tme, I love the change of seasons here.

Here are a few of the things I love about Las Vegas:

- Warm summer nights and mornings where you can wear your flip flops and shorts, or nothing at all, and still, be comfortable.
- Four Seasons
- Wild rides on the Strip.
- Shows on he Strip.
- Broadway and Symphony at the Smith Center
- Buffets - M, Caesars, Wynn, Rio, and Planet Hollywood are my favorites.
- Red Rock Canyon, Mount Charleston, Valley of Fire, etc...
- Day trips to Laguna Beach, San Diego, LA, Santa Barabara, Sedona, Grand Canyon, Zion, Yosemite, Bryce Canyon, Canyonlands, Lake Tahoe, etc.
- First Friday on Fremont
- Sun, Sun, Sun, all year and the weather all year!
- dune buggy and zip lining
- Rodeo, Billboard Music Awards and ACM each and every year
- Willow beach and renting boats
- Super Summer Theatre
- Floyd Lamb Park and all of the birds
- Desert Shores and all of the birds

I Love Las Vegas, so much, any other lovers out there lol?

i love las vegas because...

- it's not too big. i lived a long time in los angeles and there are just too many people crammed far too close together there.
- the gun laws generally favor liberty.
- it's a global destination. people from all over the world are familiar with the city and travel to spend time here.
- the strip is loaded with entertainment. giant pools, amusement rides, concerts, stage acts.
- homes are inexpensive.
- bats fly around my backyard at night and i just think that's cool.
- it's warm most of the time. and when it's hot, it's not humid.
- i prefer rock landscaping to trees, bushes and weeds everywhere.
- the city is surrounded by 10,000+ foot mountains. the view from eastern south of the 215 of the whole city is great day and night.
- it's a short day's drive from los angeles.
- there is no state income tax.
- property tax is calculated to be pretty low. under 2k per year on a 200k+ house.
- i have fond memories of being here when i was younger nearly 20 years ago.
- the roads are laid out well with future expansion accounted for. it is so nice to see roads like st. rose parkway that are surrounded by desert but have 4 lanes in both directions already.

that's all for now...

I've never lived there, but think I could, quite happily.

Some 25 years ago, I was at a turning point where I desperately wanted to move and start a new life. LV was at the top of my 'maybe' places.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, I moved somewhere else, and have been very happy where I am. I guess LV just wasn't meant to be for me.

Yes.

But I also realize that not everybody can be happy here. It's not for everybody and has it's negatives as well.

Far as I'm concerned the plusses far outweigh the negatives. The constant of the mountains and clear blue sky are what I love the most.

Nice list btw, I agree with everything on there and that of the list of boboluv.

I love Vegas... I thought the heat might be the hard part, but surprisingly (didnt know it was common in the desert) what I don't like the most are the cockroaches. Yuck. My property is regularly sprayed but my neighbors.... Nope.
