Are you making 7 figures a year? Taxing residents to death is such hyperbole. Married couples making $100k a year in California pay about 5% income tax. Yes that is 5% more than Nevada but being taxed to death it is not. California residents problem is high cost of living which is a demand isssue, not a tax issue. I met countless former Californians in my time in Vegas and so many of those who said they moved because of taxes or "regulations" moved back because in the end its just not that big of a dollar issue. Those who moved because they actually wanted to be in Vegas for non-financial reasons were the ones far more likely to stay

I moved away from Las Vegas in 1990 and missed it so badly. I visited and then I moved back within a year.

I moved away again last year. This time I haven't missed Las Vegas at all and have had no urges to move back or even visit. I loved the Las Vegas of the 70s 80s and 90s but not so much today's Vegas.

Everything has additional taxes tacked on in California. It's not just income taxes.
