After receiving some rep comments asking about how to get local juice, I figured, why not make a thread on this subject. Of course this will mean different things for different people. And most times it is just luck, timing and being in the right place a the right time.

I have friends and family that work on the strip but I wont count them for the point of this thread.

My "Vegas Juice" consists of a neighbor that my daughter plays with that works for MGM properties as some kind of consultant assistant(don't know much more than that). We chat at the mailbox often about weather, sports and CCSD. Not sure if this neighbor would be able to get my foot in the door but who knows.

Second, I sometimes coach a youth soccer team. One of my young player's dad works at the Bellagio as an engineer on the fountains. We spoke about our careers once or twice about a year ago. That topic hardly ever comes up anymore but as far as the housing market and soccer, those topics seem to carry on longer than expected. I do not know how this person would feel about helping a coach out but who knows.

Third, this would be my best lead. Almost 5 years now(January) I will have been doing "volunteer" security work on the strip. I run into plenty of full time employees that compliment me(or fellow co-workers) about our demeanor and or professionalism and the possibility of joining the team after the military or even part time. Personal contact information is almost always exchanged after our shift. I have never followed up on any of these contacts. I even still have contacts in my cell from 2009 time frame. I am sure if I were to call some of these ancient numbers in my phone I would get the "Who the f*ck is this" answer but I would expect that.

And that is the extent of my "Vegas Juice" without having to bother any family or friends. I honestly feel that I do not spend enough time on the strip to have any real concrete juice.

My "Vegas Juice" was the VP of operations at a major casino in the beginning. Now I have several types of "juice" at multiple properties.

Maybe I should add you to my juice list?

Yeah. Going to work on that once I get ahead a little bit. I know I'll take a pay cut going to a casino initially.
Doorman or valet either is cool with me.
