so im coming to las vegas on Nov 1st and need a cheap room for Fri and Sat and possibly tues. Im thinking since im on a small budget and flying in I could stay at the motel 6 on E Tropicana or the one on Dean Martin Drive.

Im gonna be playing in the caesars poker classic and could be leaving there some nights around 1 or 2 am so was wanting to know how much the cab fare would be from caesars to motel 6 or vice versa?

I know its like 1.6 miles from caesars to motel 6 on Tropicana but how safe would it be if I were to walk even during the day?

thanks for your help and when I come maybe a cab driver from this thread could pick me up and throw some extra money your way for a quick trip

About $10 plus tip.

Meter drop= $3.30
2miles=$6.60

It might be 1.6 miles to/from but all of the casino driveways are..... L O N G! So they add mileage.

It'll be more if the strip is jammed...$.050/minute stopped.

figure at least 15... maybe as much as 18-20. tell them to use koval.

the walk itself is easy and safe. no issues.

CPC... you playing the main or one of the lower BI tourni's?

Why would you want to go via KOVAL?

That's backtracking and still puts you through the Flamingo/LVB intersection?

If traffic is bad it's better to take Trop to Dean and come in the back entrance to Caesars through Twain...

Taking Koval takes you 1/2 mile East to Koval, North to Flamingo then back another 1/2 mile to get back to the BLVD.
Nowadays Koval is kinda busy....DEAN is always a better option if you're trying to avoid the strip.

Check out the Quad (what they're calling Imperial Palace this week.) You may be able to get a good enough deal to forgo the off strip thing.

1/2 east to koval... surely you are not serious. motel 6 is right on the corner or koval and trop

I'm serious and don't call me Shirley!

Koval is .5 mi from LVB. Trop is 1 mi from Flamingo

Going back to Frank or Dean is just as far HOWEVER both Frank and Dean keep you from the worst intersection on the strip: Flamingo/LVB.
Why go out of the way to still sit there?

FWIW turning right on LVB from Flamingo is usually worse thn going straight through on LVB because of the missing right turn lane on Flamingo.
