I'm going to take on a gig as a taxi driver and who knows, maybe I will like it and stick it out for a while until my deployment to Afghanistan next year. In the meantime I think I might email one of the guys on CL about the nightclub promoter and give it a shot for a night or two.

That's probably the same guy most of my co-workers used to work for. He constantly posts on CL. The gig is perfect for those that want to get close to partiers. But terrible for making any real money. I did have a friend that was very good at talking with random people. He would talk to 300-500 people a night just to have only 10-15 show up with his card.
