Coming to visit for my 50th birthday with a group of girlfriends, which resort is more convenient to the strip and which resort has more nightlife, restaurants and bars? I have a free week from resort quest....

Wyndham is on Harmon, a street that runs off Las Vegas Blvd. (the Strip) and would be the closest property to the nicest part of the Strip. That being said, I would not walk around there, especially at night. Tahiti Village is on Las Vegas Blvd., but way south of the nice casinos. You should really have a car for either one. Personally, I have never heard of either one having good nightlife, restaurants and bars. I cannot imagine hanging around either one for socializing. My advice is to use whichever one you choose as your place to sleep, possibly their pool for tanning, and get the heck out of there and go to the zillions of places offered on the Strip for good eating and nightlife.

Polo Towers timeshare is directly on the strip. But I have no idea how it's like on the inside.

There's nothing worth doing at Tahiti Village they have decent pools and a nice lazy river but I don't know if you're coming at a time you can utilize them. There is a restaurant with crappy food and lousy amenities above an on property Denny's. The restaurant has a bar that I've never seen crowded. They have 2 shuttles that run to the strip though I recommend getting a car for more flexibility. The rooms are fine. Some balconies face the lazy river; some face an empty lot of dirt. The equipment in their gyms is substandard.

Personally, I would see ifyou can utilize your resort quest stuff at MGM Signature which is nicer and closer to everything.

I'm guessing OP is going the timeshare route because both properties are easy to exchange into. Or could be renting a timeshare week, that's inexpensive and easy to do, as well.

I've personally been in Polo Towers. I would not want to stay there. Small courtyard pool on the inside with building facing around it on all sides. Kids screaming in the pool could get old fast. Walk from the parking garage not convenient. The units I have seen are very small and not someplace I would want to spend my time in vacationing. Best thing I can say about it is it's location.
