I guess the Goretorium is closing (or already closed). I would have thought that place would be successful with all the zombie fans these days.

Goretorium closure leaves couples stranded at the altar and left to foot the bill - Las Vegas Sun News

Did any of you guys ever go there? If so, was it lame?

Awww, I haven't had the chance to go. I'm a little sad by this.

I had several friends who went who said it was pretty lame but it was a cool experience. It was lame in terms of scariness, that's all.

Novelty wore off! Good thing about this is the location. Someone in the restaurant/bar business will lease the space vacated. Great location and view. I've dined at both Twin Peaks and Bubba Gump and the space vacated in between these two restaurants has the same awesome view.

Never got the chance to go, but a year round haunted house seemed kinda strange to me.

Would it have made more sense to hold the venue as a bar, nightclub for most of the year and then starting in September through October deck it out for Halloween?

Isn't everything on the strip overpriced?

Yeah. But an overpriced year-round haunted house would never make it, as this just goes to show.
It loses any sense of anticipation or excitement if it's always there. If Frightdome was open all year people would get bored of that real fast too.

We went only because we had a Groupon for half price. We did the daytime tour without the Zombies. It was actually pretty cool. The setup was much more elaborate than I thought it would be, but I love gory stuff. I think it would have been fun at night with the live actors.
