Seeing as their 10mbit service is around $60/month what sort of insane pricing should I expect for their gigabit service?

"$79.95/month when bundled with CenturyLink® Prism™ TV for 12 months."

Does not state the stand alone price but I'd imagine $10-15 more per month. It spanks the 150 megabit line that Cox currently offers. It's a good value.

How many people have any need for 1Gb/s internet connections?

Also, is it bidirectional, or just download?

I think it would be good for the resort corridor. For legitimate residential use, Im not sure. However, internet speed will only get faster which will allow more things to be done over the internet.

If you're a business, you can buy this already, an can have been doing so for a while. The only thing that makes it interesting is that it's being offered at the residential level.

I could use the speed. There's no way the upload is the same speed though, usually it's just a fraction of the download bandwidth.
