We've finally moved and will be here in Las Vegas at least 3/4 time. Now we're shopping for a bunch of stuff for the house. Of course we're trying to keep costs down. Any recommendations for:

A good kitchen and bath store (we want to replace our master sinks/vanities with something more modern)

Carpet and flooring store

Blinds and curtains

We already know about Colleen's thanks to all of you; where else would you look for home accessories, lighting and other decorating touches (again, we're fans of modern and mid-century sort of stuff. We've looked at some of the resale stores downtown already; some have some very cool things but some of them are asking crazy prices for what they have).

Also, is there a less pricey alternative to Bed, Bath and Beyond?

Thanks as always for any suggestions!!!

Walker Furniture Outlet on Cheyenne has some deeply discounted accent pieces. We were lucky to get here right after they got a ton of stuff from World Market and the deals were great.

I love the Home Store and Kirklands. Lots of good stuff there and much more reasonable.

For fixtures I'd shop online. The Grohe faucet in my kitchen is $555 at Home Depot but $100 less at faucets4cheap.com. When I remodel our downstairs bathroom I'm going to find the cheapest reputable online seller of the Ronbow vanity I've picked out and buy it from them. I wouldn't even know where to go to buy it locally.

If you need ideas, take a look at a Ferguson kitchen and bath gallery. There are something like eight showrooms scattered across the valley.

For accessories, decorating, linens, towels, furniture and lamps, try Home Goods. Excellent selection and very reasonable.
