It's obvious by the posts that the issue isn't cruelty, but the fact that the neighbors don't want to live next to a pig farm.

back in the philppines, we used to raise pigs as a business and for food. (well still do for our family back there.) and honestly, when you look at the pigs in the mud and other stuff, they dont seem to mind. theyre not screaming of discomfort. in fact, when i used to feed them, they would go eat, then lay back in there. they even had a choice of where they would want to "chill" either dry land with patches of grass or the mud. and most of the time they just chill in the mud.

Ummm, Matt, you seem to be defending both sides of this issue. Your posts are opposing. Which is it for you?

DOH! WE ARE TALKING ABOUT ANIMAL ABUSE HERE!
THE SMELL IS NOT A MAJOR ISSUE

THE CONDITIONS THESE ANIMALS LIVE IN ARE ABUSIVE AND CAN BE CORRECTED VERY EASILY

This Man and his farm should not go anywhere, they have already moved out from a city that did used the same tactics as the posters here, they have vowed to stay here no matter what, yes I think he should do a better job controlling the smell, but if he has done everything in his hands and no room for improvements though luck!! IT IS A PIG FARM!!!! what do YOU expect it to smell like??? or how do you expect those animals to be treated like??? they are going to be sacrificed any way, just because you THINK they must have something doesn't mean they need it. (are you trying to drown that little voice of guilt for eating and enjoying bacon?
The people around this pig farm should shut up and move on, It is your own fault buying a house and then finding out that you don't really cope with the stink (or are your telling us that you didn't know anything about the smell before you purchased the house? if so lawsuit helllooo), why pretend there's an issue with animal cruelty now?? hasn't him been around for so long, now he has come to be an inconvenient person to you?. forgive my English (it is my second language). Just my two cents.

By the way I'm against animal cruelty.
