Yeah, similar story here...everytime I try walking my wife, whenever she passes another female, she starts sniffing their a$$es!

Very embarrassing (but sometimes interesting, in an odd kind of way!)

This afternoon, we went to summerlin. This is the first time I have been to Summerlin. Feel really sorry that I have to say it is very horrible there. It looks like Mars. After we looked at Allerton park and Kingwood crossing, we don't want to look at anything else, and headed for henderson green valley. Did I miss good things there?

You now have some view of the more mature parts.

Head south to Charleston. Cut out past the 215. Take a right at one of the big entrances and prowl around. Now you have seen one of the newer sections.

Head on down Town Center further south. Check out the new places.

Pick the section you like best and explore it more fully.

Other than that..acquire a dart board. Go past the Summerlin office and get a map. Affix map to dartboard and step back 10 feet. Throw dart. You now have your starting point.

And if it does not appeal run back to GV.

First off you have to decide what you are looking for. Those are both new tracts. I don't really care a lot for either but if they fit your price point I suppose they might work.

In my opinion virtually all new tracts...particularly those actively building resemble Mars.

Note however there are no new tracts in GV. None.

First place I sent you was the existing tracts in Summerlin. You did not go there. So I presume you want new. So why are you going to GV?

Tell us again what your needs are. I, for one, am confused.

I am guessing you are visiting from a place with much more natural greenery, such as the Appalachian Mtns in North Carolina, or perhaps the Olympic Peninsula (North America's only bona fide rainforest) in Washington state. The Las Vegas Valley is situated in the northern end of the Mojave Desert.

Sorry that I confused you.
I got off from highway 95 and drove through summerlin parkway. It does look undeveloped all the way. I think I have too high expection for summerlin since I heard so many good words about it.

In GV, I only found two places new: southern hills and brighton bridge. I love southern hills house design but the two I visited is too close to the traffic (noisy). I guess I have to buy an existing house in GV.

Go back and drive Lake Mead west from Rampart. Turn left when you get to Anasazi. Try any of the side streets. Drive all the way to Town Center. Go wherever from there. I defy you to tell the difference from GV.

They are identical twins..but Summerlin is a lot bigger.

Olecapt--Personally, I think we're lucky to have access to your knowledge as a realtor...and that you're a good person, too, is a bonus! So, thanks for sharing!

Regarding Summerlin, what is the West Sahara area called, the part that extends past Peccole Ranch, west of the library and the apartment complexes? I see lots of single-family homes there. I'm referring to the area near the new Albertson's.

If people moving here expect alot of greenery like they had where they moved from, maybe they shouldn't be moving here. It's brown, dry and dusty. It's also pretty good for people allergic to grass and other green plants.
