Hello guys!

I am new to the forum and to the US as well. Around Christmas I will visit Las Vegas for the first time and I want it to be an experience that I will remember well. Now I wanted to ask you, if you knew any websites where I could find rather cheap hotel rooms and that are legit. I've stumbled upon some, but I really don't know how good they are or if they are any good at all.

Just some examples of what I've found:
http://las-vegas.hotelscheap.org
http://www.vegas4you.de/
http://www.lasvegas.com/hotels/downtown

Do you think that websites like that are legit? I know there are tons, but I wanted to know if you have any personal experience with them.

Unless its near New Years....cheapest time is right around Christmas. Not uncommon to see rooms for $30 or so...

Hotels.com
Booking.com
Expedia.com
Orbitz.com
Hotwire.com
Priceline.com
Kayak.com
Travelocity.com
Tripadvisor.com
..or their associated apps

All are legit and pretty close in price. Check more than one because the deals are all different depending on the deals they cut. Hotwire and Priceline are either for more sophisticated users or for users that don't care about a specific hotel, only a specific minimum level and location.

I would just go directly to each hotel's own website and look to see rates and specials...

We're staying at Hotel 32 at the Monte Carlo when we come this year. Should be interesting.

I have used TravelZoo and SmarterVegas for great deals on lodging and shows. It's good to compare 3rd party hotel deals to the hotel's own site, and to check it for promos you may not see elsewhere.

I typically use the hotel's website or booking.com.

You can try googling for Las Vegas hotel promo code , and you often get promos that yuo use right at the hotel's website.

Good luck!

agoda.com: Discount Hotel Reservations - Smarter Hotel Booking! It's owned by priceline, and often cheaper. I don't recall ever seeing the best prices on the hotel's own website, ymmv.
