Is shooting in Jean at a range, or just out in the desert somewhere?

I hardly ever play table games, but I've actually won money playing black jack and craps there while the food digests.

No range just the open desert. There are a couple places out there to do 1000 yards plus. Have to be careful though as its open land and you'll run into off roaders.

I used to drive the tour buses that hauled the employees back and forth to primm, we ran 24 hours a day. We used to pick up at the downtown cat station, mgm, flamingo/paradise and vacation village.

Many years ago, they had rows and rows of single wide trailers out there, I guess it was employee housing. Not sure why they got rid of it, maybe expense?

My wife worked at Whiskey Pete's in Primm when we first met. The had at that time 2 shuttle buses that you could catch to Primm. One at the BTC in Dowtown the other at Terribles/Silver Sevens. On our first date I was absolutely shocked when she told me she worked in Primm. I told here I just thought people magically appeared for work everyday. lol

That business would be a money-printing machine if it ever existed, but I don't think you're allowed to bring "legal" weed across the border into NV.

What's funny about this post is that when you play the video game "Fallout New Vegas" Primm is actually a city with houses, its own sheriff and many local buildings. The only landmark you can spot in the game is the casino with the roller coaster. I would love to live in a small community outside of LV but neither Jean or Primm have anything but the places discussed in this thread.

I stopped in there about a month ago, more out of curiosity than anything else. I realize it's not fair to compare Gold Strike to anything on The Strip, but let's just say that the roast beast and everything else about their buffet was disappointing to say the least, and that's being extremely kind.

Check out Boulder City if you want a small town outside of Vegas. It's kind of expensive, though.

Try Goodsprings off 161. It looks like the town where the hills have eyes and several other horror films have been made.

Interesting. What kind of roast beast was it?
As for Primm, I know about the apartment complex tucked away. It would be nice if they added more things out there like a grocery store and some more homes. Make it into a real little town. They demolished the Nevada Landing casino in Jean to make way for homes back in the boom years. But everything went bust before they could actually start building. Nevada Landing might have been known for one of the worst buffets, but the casino was ok and it was a winning little place. Stayed there often years ago before finally moving out here.
