Can you believe how bad traffic on the 15 South was yesterday! Having a commuter train just makes sense at this point. It is only going to get worse with continued growth in the valley. Not to mention the potential to bring construction and collateral jobs surrounding the operation of a train. Another great benefit would be a decrease of accidents and fatalities on the 15. I wonder what the casino industry would think of this and if they'd contribute to the construction?

This seems familiar..

As long as it ends in Victorville, you just move the gridlock to there, as everyone will still have to drive to LA from the station. Makes no sense to me..

I have no faith that this train will be nothing more than a money pit that will only bring buyer's remorse and further tar and feather the Las Vegas name at a time when we are trying to make this a place to move your business. Don't like the traffic? Fly.

The train to nowhere is a loser. Spend the $6+ billion on widening I-15 or a new airport at Jean.

It's not like this happens every day, or even every weekend. Spending gobs of money no one has to relieve traffic a few weekends per year at most makes no sense to me.

They have been talking about this train since I was a teenager. It's a great idea, so it will not get done. The first concept I read about it in the eighties was a mag-lev between Vegas downtown and LA's terminal. It was supposed to take an hour and a half. I would have bought the first ticket to the beach.

There used to be rail service between here and Fullerton, but no more. I rode that train a couple of times to see my parents in California. It sure beat driving.

Forget the train. Widen the highway.

Once train arrived, how do you get around?
I saw estimates of $100 or so for each way. I would rather fly than take a train for that price.
Who is expected to foot the bill for any construction needs?
If we can get Federal money, I would rather see the 15 widened.

how many knuckleheads do you think they can get on a train regardless of where it's from/to?

that option will offer little relief for the roads.

what they needs are four to six lane highways.
