I loaded up my family, sold off my belongings, quit my job, and moved 2400 miles to the desert to escape crappy weather. I got here in July. It rained the day after I got here. It then rained damn near the entire month of August. Now, NOW they are calling for snow here in the valley.
Folks, I apologize. It's my fault. I brought this with me. I swear I have the world's worst luck. So bad in fact that I have altered the climate of the entire valley.

Aww, don't worry. It won't last. It never does.

By February, we'll be the envy of the nation for beautiful days. True winter lasts for about 6-8 weeks here.

Summer, on the other hand.... ugh. Don't get me started.

I LOVE hot and sunny. I'd happily take 365 days of 100 degree/10% humidity.

Well, you are only going to get about 300 days of that!

Even if it does "snow", you won't need your shovel or your snow tires... the snow may not even stick. And, the warmer weather will return quickly. Not worth getting upset about.

Actual snow is a myth here in the valley. Don't worry, you didn't bring anything too bad. You might've enjoyed it last winter though -- was super warm IIRC. Around 40-60 throughout our entire "winter months." Relatively warm.

so you get a little rain and even less snow and you have the worlds worst luck?

sounds a bit like a perspective issue.
