I realize this is an unpredictable type question, but in general is there a particular time to avoid driving between Las Vegas and San Bernardino (and return of course). I mean weekends, day before or after Christmas or New Years - anything along those lines?

I know accidents can happen anytime etc., but if there's a known day or time where traffic is a nightmare I'd (obviously) like to avoid it and I can go (or not) whenever I want to - no obligations.

Planning on using I15 of course

Thanks
Pam

Avoid I-15N on Friday afternoons or the afternoon of the day prior to a long weekend. Avoid I-15S on the last day of a weekend or long weekend.

Traffic can be bad on big shopping days too as the Stateline outlets have caused traffic jams on Black Friday and the day after Xmas.

Also, pay attention to the weather forecast. Cajon Pass can be closed if there is a big snow storm.
