Is it me or does everyone in this thread ignore taxes?

Thanks everyone for all your input. Another question. I would need to rent a car for a few weeks or a month when I get there. Do you think I can get a better deal by the week or monthly? I know rates change daily too. Any companies I should look at? Thanks!!

Hi trish
Good luck. I left the east coast after college & never regretted it. You are young & just starting out. You sound like you have a good head on your shoulders.
Am sure you can make it here & you should expect this to be your low.
Hopefully no huge expenses will come up but that could happen anywhere.
I know that housing in MA CA & WA is so much higher than Las Vegas. You are probably going to have an easier life w/more entertainment (great parks) here than most other places.
Best of luck. The people on this forum are very helpful - they may even tell you how to grocery shop. I'm a one person household & have a hard time getting a variety of healthy foods because I hate throwing stuff out!

Thanks everyone! Thanks localinsight for the kind words. I was thinking of initially renting a room. Any idea if this is a decent neighborhood? My friend emailed me an ad from Air B and B: Bellota Drive, Las Vegas, NV 89108,

I lived on Bellota back in the early nineties. It was decent back then, but that little neighborhood has gone to hell in a hand basket.
