Are you wanting best odds or atmosphere? In my mind, craps on the strip is all more or less the same. Most have 3x4x5 odds, most do hop bets and none do fire bets. Harrah's has the best atmosphere I reckon.

I used to love to play craps at the Barbary Coast back in the day, but since it went Harrah's its pretty crappy, pun intended. Best places to play are generally those who will reward your play with the best comps I reckon and those are pretty much going to be in line with the going cost of rooms at the casino. So if you can stand having the kiddos around Excalibur might be a good choice. Or the Riviera if you really want to step up on the odds, although that place has seen MUCH better days no doubt. Really though best place to play craps is downtown where its not that hard to get comped rooms and there are always lots of low limit games and good odds.

Atmosphere Caesars or the Golden Nugget if you want to venture downtown. Most of the dice crew at both properties are from Jersey and know how to deal a high action game. If odds is your thing. The Riv, Casino Royal and Bills all offer 10X or better. A stupid gimick if you ask me. Caesars properties offer fire while MGM offers replay. Hopping will depend on the mood on who is on box. Some boxman are that lazy that they wont book hop bets.

Now youve got my mind spinning...I think most strip casinos have the hop bets painted on the layout so they have to take it. But I have seen some layouts without the hopbets but have the boxman still take them, dont think it was on the strip though and definitely not on a weekend night.

Just because the hop is on the layout does not mean they have to book the bet. Some boxman are that lazy. Others dont want to book them if its missing on the layout due to one person wants to hop then all of a sudden, the whole table wants to hop causing confusion on the prop layout.

lol @ the comedy posts

I'm still a beginner to craps but had a nice run at Ballys and watched several games where people 'cleaned up' at Bally's... $500+ rollers

When i say odds, I dont' mean it the PC way. What exaclty does 1000x odds mean? Higher payout?
